On the 7th to 16th of December, 2021, six(6) area councils were inaugurated in the District. They are namely Nyankumasi, Adankwaman, Manso, Anyinabrim, Nsuta and Ongwa Area council. Each council is made up of 13 members which would see to the day to day running of the council.
