In its efforts to sanitize the District and make it one of the cleanest in the Central Region, the Assin South District Assembly embarked on a refuse evacuation exercise to relief the major markets of filth and heaps of refuse.
The two major markets which are at Assin Andoe and Assin Nyankumasi had a mountains of refuse which had pilled up of the years. The District Assembly employed the services of an excavator to push and burry the refuse to make a cleaner environment.
