TRAINING AND SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP FOR 40 CCPC (COMMUNITY CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTEES) MEMBERS ON CHILD LABOR AND OTHER CHILD PROTECTION-RELATED ISSUES IN THE SELECTED COMMUNITIES IN THE DISTRICT

On the 20th of may,40 CCPC members from selected communities were trained on identifying and addressing child labor and related issues. This seeks to improve the understanding of child protection laws and frameworks among participants and strengthen capacity for community-level advocacy and intervention.

The main objective for this workshop is

  • To enhance the capacity of CCPC members to identify and address issues of child labor and other child protection concerns in their communities.
  • To promote awareness and understanding of child protection laws, policies, and practices.
  • To encourage proactive community-level interventions and enlighten members on the standard referral pathways to safeguard children’s rights through case management.

The workshop was highly interactive, with participants sharing insights and experiences. Future workshops could include practical field exercises for more robust learning.
