Hon. District Chief Executive, Hon. Felicia Ntrakwa Amissah presented the executive committee report to the noble house for further deliberation.
The matter on gaming and gambling arose from the report. Members deliberated on the business that the community members had introduced in the communities.
There was no consensus as to whether to allow this business to continue in the district or to be banned. According to some Assembly members, this gaming and gambling machine business results in a lot of school dropouts in the district because the youth patronize it more.
The Hon. Presiding Member ordered the house to form a five (5) member committee to proper investigate and deliberate on this matter so that the house would be briefed on whether to approve the gaming machine business or to ban it in District.
The District Budget Analyst gave a thorough presentation on the 2023 Composite budget and Fee fixing resolution of the district. Upon further deliberations the noble house unanimously agreed for the approval of the 2023 Composite Budget and Fee Fixing Resolution.
