The newly posted Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako has paid a working visit to Assin South District.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarise with the staff of the Assembly and solicit for their support during his tenure of office.
Addressing the staff Mr. Owusu Amoako called on them to eschew the habit of gossiping.
According to him, the habit of colleagues gossiping about others is hampering service delivery at the various Assemblies and therefore called on all those who feel they have been relegated to the background to channel their grievances to the appropriate authorities instead of backbiting and undermining their colleagues.
He called on the staff to ensure prompt submission of reports to the Region. According to him a number of Districts failed to submit their reports during the District Performance Assessment Tools (DPAT) and it has negatively affected their performance.
He also warned against the leakage of official documents to the media in the bid to tarnish the image of the District Chief Executive as such an action will end up tarnishing the image of the District as a whole.
Mr. Owusu Amoako called the District Coordinating Director Mr. Richard Amoaful to put together a technical team that will solicit for support to enable the Assembly deliver on its mandate.
He promised to ensure that those who are due for promotion will be interviewed and promoted on time.
The Chief Director had earlier visited Assin North District Assembly, Assin Fosu Municipal. He was accompanied by the Head of Public Affairs at the Regional Coordinating Council Mr. Tally Ansah Asiedu.
The District Coordinating Mr. Richard Amoaful assured the Chief Director of the Assembly’s support during his stay in the region.
