On Thursday, 3rd August, 2023, the Hon. DCE of Assin South District Assembly together with the Assembly handed over building materials as part of the Assembly’s support to community initiated projects in Assin Kwaata and Assin Atobiase communities at the Forecourt of the Assembly, to aid development in the district.
She distributed building materials such as Emulsion paint (20 buckets), Tiles (40 boxes), Tiles cement (30 pcs), Louvre blades (5 boxes), Louvre frames (98 pcs), Oil paint (12 buckets), Thinner (2 gallons), Nails (4 packets) and Graft (2 packets) to Assin Kwaata community to help in the renovation of their school building and teacher’s accommodation.
Also, the Atobiase Community received Iron rods (45 pcs), bending wire (2 coils), Nails (2 packets) to help in the construction of their culvert .
She commended the beneficiary communities for their voluntarism and encouraged the various communities in the district to undertake their own projects while the Assembly provides them with the needed technical and material support.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Assembly for their support and promised to use the items to achieve its intended purpose.
