On 4th December 2025, the DCE distributed essential items and cash to 76 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the Assin South District, as part of His efforts to support their economic empowerment and improve their livelihoods.
The items included deep freezers with ice chests, fufu pounding machines, industrial sewing machines, laptops, Solo Cocoa Spraying Machines, and shop containers – tools designed to help them start or boost their businesses and become self-sufficient.
In addition to these items, we also provided financial assistance for school fees, medical bills, and trading capital, drawing on the Assembly’s Common Fund allocation for PWDs. This support is part of our broader commitment to promoting inclusivity and social empowerment, ensuring that everyone in our district has equal opportunities to succeed.
The DCE took the opportunity to encourage the beneficiaries to make the most of these resources, assuring them that my team and I will be conducting follow-ups to ensure they derive maximum benefits.
The presence of the District Coordinating Director, and assembly staff at the event underscored our collective commitment to this cause, and we are confident that together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of these individuals.
